A BILL
To transfer $160,000,000 from the Travel Promotion Fund to Brand USA.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLES.
This Act may be cited as the ``Vital Investment in Sustaining International Tourism to the USA Act'' or the ``VISIT USA Act''.
SEC. 2. AVAILABILITY OF AMOUNTS FROM THE TRAVEL PROMOTION FUND FOR BRAND USA.
(a) In General.--Subject to subsection (b) and notwithstanding any other provision of law, the Secretary of the Treasury, not later than 30 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, shall transfer, from unobligated balances remaining available from fees collected pursuant to section 217(h)(3)(B)(i)(I) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (8 U.S.C. 1187(h)(3)(B)(i)(I)) before October 1, 2025, and credited to the Travel Promotion Fund established under subsection (d)(1) of the Travel Promotion Act of 2009 (22 U.S.C. 2131(d)(1)), $160,000,000 to the Corporation for Travel Promotion (commonly known as ``Brand USA''). (b) Applicability of Certain Provisions.-- (1) Exemption from maximum transfer amount.--The transfer authorized under subsection (a) shall be exempt from the limitation described in subsection (d)(2) of the Travel Promotion Act of 2009 (22 U.S.C. 2131(d)(2)). (2) Matching requirement; carryforward.--The provisions set forth in paragraphs (3) and (4)(A) of subsection (d) of the Travel Promotion Act of 2009 (22 U.S.C. 2131) shall apply to amounts made available under subsection (a). <all>
