A BILL
To amend title 18, United States Code, to provide post-employment limits for attorneys of the United States, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the ``Department of Justice Integrity Act of 2026''.
SEC. 2. POST-EMPLOYMENT RULES FOR ATTORNEYS OF THE UNITED STATES.
Section 207 of title 18, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following: ``(m) Post-Employment Limits for Attorneys of the United States.-- ``(1) Restriction.--Any person who is a former attorney for the United States, who, while serving in that position, personally and substantially participated in any Federal prosecution of a business entity, or in any agreement with a business entity pursuant to section 3161(h)(2), and who, within 1 year after the termination of that person's service in that position, knowingly represents, aids, or assists a business entity in any Federal prosecution of such business entity, or any agreement with such business entity pursuant to section 3161(h)(2), shall be punished as provided in section 216 of this title. ``(2) Definition.--In this subsection, the term `business entity' means a corporation, association, partnership, limited liability company, limited liability partnership, or other legal commercial entity.''. <all>
