Mr. Fulcher introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Natural Resources, and in addition to the Committee on Agriculture, for a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned

A BILL

To amend the Federal Lands Recreation Enhancement Act to provide for free annual passes to licensed foster families.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the ``Promoting Access to Recreation for Kids in Foster Settings Act'' or ``PARKS Act''.

SEC. 2. ANNUAL PASSES.

Section 805(b)(3) of the Federal Lands Recreation Enhancement Act (16 U.S.C. 6804(b)(3)) is amended-- (1) by striking ``at no cost, to'' and inserting ``at no cost, to--''; (2) by striking ``members of'' and inserting the following: ``(A) members of''; (3) by striking ``determined by the Secretary.'' and inserting ``determined by the Secretary; and''; and (4) by adding at the end the following: ``(B) families whose home is a foster family home (as defined in section 472(c) of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. 672(c)), including through the application of section 479B of such Act)-- ``(i) who provide adequate proof of eligibility for such pass as determined by the Secretary; and ``(ii) not to exceed one pass per family, except if the family is comprised of too many members to be covered by a single pass when visiting a site together, the Secretary may make available one or more additional passes at no cost to cover the applicable entrance fees and standard amenity fees for the family.''. <all>
