A BILL
To expand the Gun Free School Zones Act, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the ``Protect Every Preschooler Act of 2026''.
SEC. 2. EXPANSION OF THE GUN FREE SCHOOL ZONES ACT.
Section 921(a)(27) of title 18, United States Code, is amended-- (1) by striking ``means a school which'' and inserting the following: ``means-- ``(A) a school which''; (2) by striking the period at the end and inserting a semicolon; and (3) by adding at the end the following: ``(B) an early childhood education program (as defined in section 103 of the Higher Education Act of 1965 (20 U.S.C. 1003)); and ``(C) a preschool (which has the meaning given the term `eligible preschool program' in section 428K(g) of the Higher Education Act of 1965 (20 U.S.C. 1078- 11(g))).''. <all>
